I'm learning LaTeX on my own, and this book is great at laying out information. It's great for beginners, and the book shows plenty of examples and tips to make your LaTeX skills thrive.Other than that, I highly recommend it.

Excellent book! It's full of very useful and practical information.

I checked this out from the library- I own the Lamport book, but I think this is ultimately a much more useful reference for me. I used to LaTeX everything, from my résumé to my homework, but have since fallen out of the habit. I am now running my own law practice and seriously considering going back to LaTeX for everything from legal briefs to letters to invoices, and I think this book is going to be a big help.
