Informative book. Read it before I went on a kayak trip down the upper Suwannee. This is not really a guide book that you would buy if you were looking for maps and camping information. It is mostly historical information.
I love this book. A lot of history. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to know about the Suwannee River.
This will cause me to take another road trip so I can walk the battle ground. Read about it then we will visit the site.
I ordered this to plan a canoe trip down the Suwannee. It has some useful info but seems better for exploring the Suwannee by car.

I've known the guide almost all his life, and he was perfect for the author's purpose. Also met the author on an occasion when the guide was toting a houseboat up the Suwannee River (from a marina in Clearwater!) . . . that was another type of adventure. We live on the Suwannee River above where the guide lives, and love the book!
