Michael Friessen turned 21 and celebrated by going to Vegas with some hockey teammates, getting black-out drunk, and marrying a woman he never met before! Yikes! To make things worse, she may be a hooker? That’s not all that makes it a huge problem! His parents, Neil and Candy, are surprised to say the least. Neil, being a man who loves to solve problems for his family, has some ideas on what Michael should do.Another great read from Ms. Eckhart, as this is an unusual romance, with characterizations that are top notch! Michael is a typical Friessen male and his new wife has a complex backstory. She, Angie Debois, has issues. The ending is surprising, but abrupt. I hope we read more about these two in the future. It’s not a cliffhanger, but we are left with questions. An entertaining read, though!I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I also bought the book for my elibrary.
Lorrhaine Eckhart is a great author, she proofed it with her 21st book about the Friessens. While I loved this story, it was just too short, the ending rushed. But the little Novella at the end kind of appeased me..
What an enjoyable read! Michael and Angie’s story has become another top favorite of mine in this series. This was such a heartfelt story filled with many twist and turns that really kept me glued to their story. The book description gives one a good idea of what the story is about. Michael got plastered celebrating his 21st birthday to the point of not remembering anything after a certain point. The next morning he found a beautiful blond in his bed and she told him that she was his wife. We learn a lot about Angie, her background, how people wrongly misjudged her, etc.. I admired Michael, who near the end, became mature about the whole situation. This is well worth reading and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
Michael wakes up in Vegas after his birthday celebration to find out he is married and doesn’t remember anything that happened. Angie is a school teacher who is down on her luck because her landlord keeps raising her rent to the point she is selling everything she has and going hungry. She hangs out at the bars for free food and maybe a guy who will buy her dinner. His father gets involved doing background checks and wants to get the marriage annulled ASAP. The hockey scouts are out and he is up to get picked to go professional and a scandal will prove to be very undesirable. Well written and packs a punch for a short. Enjoyable read.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
I love the Friessens! If you enjoy family sagas then you must read this series. This book is about Michael who is 3rd generation. We didn't get a lot on the 1st gen. but did on the 2nd. Now we're on to the 3rd and they are just as entertaining and complex as their parents. Michael turns 21 and spends his birthday in Vegas with his buddies. After a long night of drinking Michael wakes up in a hotel with a woman in his bed and a ring on his finger. OOPS! You'll have to read the book to find out what happens but you won't be disappointed. Ms. Eckhart does a great job telling the Friessens stories.I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I got this book as an ARC reader, for My honest review. I Love this book. I Love reader about the kids. This book was about Michael. He and his friends went to Vegas, for his 21th Birthday. He got drunk and gotten married. I read books about getting drunk in Vegas, and getting married. But, this book is different, and to me set it off from the others. Because, when I read her books, they are real people and to me it seen different, it seems real, like it happens in real life. because when you read this series, you will fall in Love with them. And you will get to know what kind of family they are. And as you read each one you will get to know what kind of family they are. I hope you know what I mean . But, this series is one of a kind. You got to read this book and the series. You will fall in Love with this family. You did it again. Every book gets better and better. Keep up the good work. I can't wait until the next book come out. I Love this book and SERIES so much I have to buy each book. And I can't afford to buy books. So, next month, I will be buying this book, simehow.

He just needs to understand how this could have happened and just who his wife really is.Michael and Angie’s story has a few twists and turns and ups and downs. Angie’s life has not been easy, and things are only getting more complicated. Just as Michael’s hockey career is taking off, everything in Angie’s life is falling apart and colliding with Michael’s future. They may be married, but they’re strangers who have a tenuous connection to each other.This is an engaging and entertaining romance and a fast-paced story which will keep your interest from beginning to end. The ending is a bit abrupt, and I would have liked to have a little more of their story, but this is a very enjoyable read and another delightful addition to this wonderful series.
Sadly Michael Friessen, like the rest of the family, never likes to do things the easy way. Instead he wakes up after a long night of drinking to discover he's married, and has no idea who his wife is. All of this comes just as his dreams of making a career in the NHL are about to come true. Will a night of drunken revelry ruin his future or will it change two lives for the better?While this is part of the Friessen family saga, it can definitely be read as a stand alone novel. Although having read the other books, I did enjoy seeing Michael coming into his own and standing up to his father, Neil. Plus having another strong woman in the series who is not afraid to stand up for herself was a definite plus. I certainly hope that this is not the last we will be seeing of the latest Friessen couple!
